Miami-Dade county’s Environmentally Endangered Lands program has been acquiring and managing environmentally sensitive lands for 30 years. Since the time that voters approved this program, it has acquired more than 27,000 acres. These lands contain many endangered and threatened species, both plant and animal, and are a major part of making Miami-Dade county more resilient by recharging our drinking water aquifer and protecting our coastlines. Come hear about the variety of endangered habitats and what you can do to help.
Joy Klein, Environmental Resources Supervisor, has worked for Miami-Dade’s Division of Environmental Resources (DERM) for more than 35 years.
There is no cost to attend our Second Saturday Seminars but please RSVP to reserve your seat.
