Sheetal Kandola and Assata Dela Cruz in collaboration with Kindred Yoga in Mobile, AL cordially invite you to the first Shakti Full Moon Circle on September 10, 2022 at 6PM.
Sheetal is the only Indian yoga practitioner here on Chahta lands (commonly referred to as Mobile) and as well as a coach, scientist, and leader in yoga, Ayurveda, and holistic wellness. Assata is indigenous to these Chahta lands, particularly Africatown, a mama, and a Medicine Woman who uses plants, herbs, ancestral magic and deep devotion to help people heal.
The Harvest Full Moon is the ultimate time to connect with sisterhood and be honored in a Divine Feminine sacred space. The moon is ancient, mystical and connected to our Shakti, which is a Sanskrit word for divine feminine creative power. The full moon is about illumination and coming out, a time when the moon is in its fullness in the night sky providing us with an opportunity to express ourselves and celebrate in community. The full moon is also symbolic of clarity and focusing our energy in the direction that it best serves us. It is a potent time to charge our energy and channel it to manifest what we desire in our life.
Sheetal and Assata will co-create a healing sacred space for women and femmes to reflect on and honor the magic of the Full Moon. This 2-hour magical workshop will include gentle movement, breathwork, guided meditation, journaling, reflection, herbal gifts, and a fire ceremony. This is an opportunity and invitation to connect with scared community under the illumination of the full moon.
Please wear light, comfortable clothing and bring a journal and pen. Registration is required as there are limited spaces available. This is a BIPOC & LGBTQIA+ inclusive space and sliding scale is available to people from these communities.
Entry fee is $33 but please reach out if this is an amount you can not afford.
