Together we bring you the Get Ready Stay Ready Survival SkillShare. The Organizations are creating and sharing resources for the building of aa more resilient community. The event is based in a post apocalyptic society where communities must come together to meet their needs. Octavia Butler's Parables series inspired this work and encourages post apocalyptic preparedness. We are living in that apocalypse of colonization and mass anti blackness, capitalistic destruction of the earth, and extraction of natural resources from the land and our communities. Diasporic Afrikans (The Black Community) are often the most impacted by the lack of readiness during timed of crisis. This skillshare will be formatted like a science fair for survival preparedness.
