Basic Lighting and Portrait Photography with Jennifer Gershon & Mark Morris

This workshop is specifically geared for folks who either have not purchased any lighting equipment, or for those who purchased a light, and perhaps a modifier or two, but never really "figured it out". We have two absolutely magnificent models, and two very experienced photographers on hand to help introduce you to the fundamentals of Off Camera Flash (OCF). We will walk you through all of the steps from the very beginning. This is a hands-on workshop, where everyone will have a TON of time to shoot and work with the lighting equipment. We will be teach you how to set everyting up, how the triggers work, how to select the right modifier for the type of look you are hoping to create, where to position your modifier... you will leave the workshop with some fantastic photos of your very own, permission to use the images in your portfolio, to print them... our goal is to help creative photographers unlock an amazing new skill! The beginning session will run from 9:00 am to noon. If anyone is interseted in more advanced lighting set-ups, multi-light set-ups, and more of an artistic/creative endeavor, we can arrange to have an intermediate session from 1:00 pm until 5:00 pm. The studio where this class is being held is a 2700 square foot space with TONS of room. We are going to set up three full lighting stations (on different channels, so we won't conflict with each other). One station will be working with Mark, one with Jenn, and the third will be for you to explore and test out what you have learned on your own. Lauren, one of our models for the AM session.
