ASAP Farm Help Needed We’re a local vegetable farm in southeast Fort Collins looking for temporary help 1-3 days per week starting ASAP. We grow a wide variety of produce including carrots, lettuce, peppers, melons, strawberries, etc. and we’re in our peak harvest season now. The job is fairly physical in nature (see below) but can be lots of fun for anyone who enjoys being outdoors. Having a personal vehicle would be helpful as farm is not bus accessible. Pay: $13-15 per hour DOE Helpful experience: • Small farm experience • Farmers market experience • Produce/food handling or restaurant work • Customer service • Past jobs that required being outdoors or standing all day Physical aspects of the job: • Will be standing and/or walking for entire shift • Repetitive lifting up to 50+ lb. while loading and unloading produce at farmers market • Harvest work will involve constant bending and lifting items from the ground • All work will be outdoors – must be ok working in the elements (sun, rain, wind, etc.) Schedule • We currently need help with our Saturday farmers market in Ft.Collins (8am-3pm) + help on 1-2 other days at the farm doing harvesting, weeding and help with irrigation • Other days could be Wed-Sun, schedule can be somewhat flexible outside of Saturday being mandatory Farm Season: • We will be needing help through the end of market season which ends in October • If this job is the right fit, there may be opportunity to continue on helping part-time with our winter CSA which runs November - February Perks of the job: • Get to take home lots of delicious farm-grown produce each week • Get paid to be physically active working outdoors on the farm and at farmers market • Great opportunity to learn about growing and harvesting vegetables • Work with a fun farm crew of down to earth humans who enjoy working hard as part of a team To apply, please respond to this posting with a brief email telling us the following: 1.
