Description

EXTREMELY URGENT ALL DOGS WILL DIE ON 9/6!!! Of the Original 4, Rosy Found a Home. These 3 Dogs still need homes ASAP!! We need the community to do: 1. Share this post 2. Go to meet one of these good adoptable dogs. They don't deserve to die because a non-caring person dumped them in a shelter. THESE DOGS DESERVE TO LIVE!! PLEASE check out all dogs below! Call , or go directly to the East Shelter (2630 W Rio Salado Pkwy, Mesa, AZ 85201) to save 1 of their lives. They are not bad dogs!! All three are SUFFERING from long periods of confinement with limited opportunities for out-of-kennel time to exercise and play. The just need out of this noisy, chaotic place!! JOEY: #A4655543 is a 1-year-old, neutered brown and white American Pit Bull Terrier (53 lbs.). Joey is very friendly, will sit on your lap, lean in for pets, and give you “kisses”. He is easy to leash and handle, walks with a slight pull on-leash, knows “sit” and “down”, and takes treats nicely. Joey loves the kiddie pool and doing “zoomies”. He can get overly excited in proximity to other dogs. Slow, repeated introductions to other pets in the home are recommended after given time to decompress. MISTER: #A4751357 is a 4-yr-old, neutered, black and white American Pit Bull Terrier (74 lbs.). Mister was surrendered due to move. His owner’s said he was a very good dog with people and young children, that he didn’t bark, was potty trained, and was good with large dogs but not cats. He likes attention but isn’t demanding, is easy to leash and return to his kennel, walks with moderate pull on-leash, takes treats gently, enjoys petting and scratching, and likes balls/toys and kiddie pool. He has had no issues with dogs at the shelter. PEACHES: #A4751646 is a 4-yr-old, spayed, tan and white Boxer Mix (43 lbs.) Peaches’ owner surrender notes suggest that she may be uncertain of men (not observed at shelter), that she can be protective of her food, and that she doesn’t do well if kept inside too long. Peaches has been easy to handle and take and return to her kennel and walks with a moderate pull on-leash. She likes to sniff around a lot before coming up for affection/pets. She will place her paws on your lap to get attention. She enjoys playing fetch and returns and drops the ball. She accepts treats gently. No reactivity to other dogs observed but would need slow, intros to dog(s) in the home and kept separate when fed. PLEASE REMEMBER!! All these dogs have been living in a high-stress environment and will need time to de-stress and relax!! They will benefit from a predictable routine as well as ample exercise and time to play. Unless noted above that there is an only dog requirement, it is possible that with a SLOW INTRODCTION, any could live with another dog. It is suggested that all the dogs meet the entire family before going home.
