ASSISTANCE AVAILABLE:
The Cuyahoga County Small Business STIMulus Grant Program funds are potentially a one-time payment granted to eligible applicants in an amount up to $50,000 for businesses with fewer than 50 full-time equivalent employees and less than $5 million in annual revenue.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: An Applicant Must:
Be a Cuyahoga County small business owner (applicant must be the principal i.e., majority owner).
Have been in operation prior to June 1, 2020.
Be in operation at the time of application (businesses that have ceased operations are ineligible).
Have fewer than 50 full-time equivalent employees.
Have between $35,000 and $5 million annual revenue for fiscal years 2020 and 2021.
Not be an ineligible business including one engaged in illegal activities, loan packaging/lending, gambling, passive real estate investment, illicit adult entertainment or where the owner is on parole.
Not be in conflict of interest with Cuyahoga County, the County Legislature, the local municipality, or the third-party administrator (NDC).
REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION:
The following documents will be required to submit a complete application:
2020 federal business tax returns
2021 federal business tax returns
Employer withholding tax return (IRS 941 or Ohio IT 501) quarter ending 3/31/2022 (if applicable)
Current business bank statement
Organizational documents (bylaws, operating agreement, articles of incorporation/organization)
Valid government-issued photo ID for every owner of 20% or more
ELIGIBLE USE OF PROCEEDS:
Eligible use of grant proceeds include operating working capital expenses for your small business such as purchase of inventory/supplies, lease or purchase of equipment, operation, hiring staff, location expansion, marketing, or other expressly permitted uses.
