Pedestrian vs. Vehicle Hit and Run in West Loop

My Dad was walking through a crosswalk on a green and a car ran through the light and hit him and ran. My Dad somehow walked back to his apartment, where my Aunt found him barely conscious and took him to a hospital in the suburbs. Because he was not taken by ambulance, and was in the suburbs, no police report was taken. My Dad is currently in a medically induced coma and has not been able to give anyone details about where the accident happened exactly. I spoke with the police and they need some specifics before they can start pulling traffic camera footage. My Dad has multiple broken ribs, a traumatic brain injury, and several other broken bones. My Dad lives in the west loop and likes to walk at night. Please if anyone saw a man hit by a car in the last few days, contact me. This is not a city where people can hit our elderly and run and get away with it. This person needs to be arrested. Please also pray or send positive thoughts for my Dad that he makes it out of this.
