We are seeking a bulk firewood delivery driver and loader! Please make an effort and explain why you are applying and how you will be the right fit, don't just say you're interested. You can earn up to $300 a day (sometimes more), if you can hustle. 8-12hr days with self-directed breaks. Timing is largely dependent on getting efficient and hustling with safety in mind. We always consider the weather and whether it is a safe driving day, so keep that in mind. The weather can be crazy and delay work. This is a non-CDL position, but you must have a clean driving record. Please do not contact me if you do not have a clean driving record, no at fault accidents in the last 2 years at a minimum. We deliver about 4-6 days a week, sometimes more, the operator and proprietor is the other main driver and we have one other weekend driver. We are seeking a new addition to our growing business, someone who is a self-starter in good physical shape and knows how to lift and work and drive in a safe manner. ***This is OUTDOOR work, if you don't like inclement weather or don't like to get sweaty and do physical labor, do not bother contacting*** You will be required to load most, if not all, of your orders, by hand (the operator and other helpers will sometimes chip in, we encourage you to work as a team and will reward you for it), before you set out for deliveries. If you'd like to bring a helper to go with you, they will also need to be interviewed and have a background check run. Helpers earn 1/2 of what drivers do. *If you have your own flat-bed 1ton or larger truck and are willing to use it, we can provide a trailer for you to use and deliver more in one day. You will also receive a wear and tear bonus that accumulates and you will received mileage pay if you use your own vehicle at $1/mile. Daily arrive at lot for pre-arranged delivery route, routes are published, 1-2 or more days in advance. drive to deliver and pick up goods and packages. ​Responsibilities: Respond in a timely fashion to Operator and Dispatcher Proactively communicate and estimate ETA to clients update them and the proprietor of delivery status. Load and unload vehicle Deliver bulk firewood to customer locations in a timely manner Collect on unpaid orders when appropriate. Inspect and monitor delivery vehicle before, throughout and at the end of every delivery day. Follow loading and safety guidelines and bring the wood (and racks) safely to customers Clean up any debris left in the course of delivery. Return to lot and have equipment broom swept for next load. Notify operator of any issues. ​Qualifications: Experience in delivery driving, customer service, or other related fields Clean driving record and no at fault accidents in the last 2 years at a minimum. Ability to handle physical workload. Love of the outdoors, this is HUGE, if you do not like the outside, do no bother. Ability to safely manage heavy lifting 80# on average and maneuver special wheelbarrows across clients properties without incident. Deadline-oriented with attention to detail.
