A/C Compressor Replacement

I have a 16 year old Carrier HVAC system. I have diagnosed a bad compressor. I know that replacing the whole system is the right fix. However, I am looking for a cheaper solution. So, looking for a technician to replace just the compressor motor on the condensing unit. If you’re interested in this gif let me know. If you can ballpark the cost that would be great too. I know it will just be a guess.
