Local travel trailer renovation shop seeks qualified employees for multiple positions. Positions available in both the wood and metal shops with additional needs in RV wiring, heating and plumbing. Pay is $18-$35 DOE with PTO, paid holidays, 401k, project bonuses and the opportunity to grow with the business. Wood Shop: Cabinet making Furniture making Finish Carpentry Everything from breaking down sheets to building custom hardwood furniture. The ideal candidate is well rounded in all aspects of woodworking and brings a creative mind to work with basic plans that often require problem solving and have unique requirements. These old trailers aren’t square, the walls aren’t flat and every trailer is one of a kind. Metal Shop: In the metal shop we tear down and rebuild riveted aluminum trailers bringing life back to the classic icons of the road. Metal shop workers demo old trailers, lift the shells, repair steel frames, install new subfloors and put the shells back on. Installation of fresh and waste water tanks, insulation and wiring all happen in this stage as well. The type of employees who have had the most success on this side of the operation, without prior knowledge, have had a good set of mechanical skills from experience with either bike or vehicle maintenance and repair. Specialty skills include riveting, welding and sheet metal bending. RV Systems: Experience with PEX plumbing, drains, RV waste tanks/venting and fresh water systems. Propane hookups.
