Description

I have (3) bags that I use to store and transport stage lights (see pic #1). I want to add boards on the inside bottom to make them less “bendy” and easier to slide when I end load them into my minivan. I was thinking of buying 12” deep shelves (see pic #2) and cutting them down to a length of 60”. I would also like to “round over” the edges so they aren’t cutting hazards, plus the seams are on the inside of the bags and rounded edges would avoid overlap. I don’t need a finished board (although I like the black), but an alternative would be to rip a sheet of interior plywood (not MDF or chipboard) to the width (12”) and length (60”) for the (3j pieces. In that case I’d like it to be finished (smooth) on one side (facing the equipment on the inside of the bag). Also, the shelves are a little thicker than I need and take up some critical space, so thinner is better in this case. I can buy the materials or have you provide them. I can deliver and pickup in the metro area, or you’re welcome to bring your tools and use my garage if you don’t have a workspace. I have a flexible schedule and can work with you on when and how to get this done. I was going to pay $50 for the (3) shelves and hope that cutting them to length and rounding over the edges would be another $50. If you think that’s fair, or you have ideas I might be interested in, please let me know. Thanks!
