Description
Hey there! My name is Anna and I operate the Pet Sanctuary here at Little River Adventure Company. We are offering two beautiful felines for adoption: Edge is the older teenage cat, and Itty Bitty is the young kitten. Edge's mother is a full timer here at LRAC, and before she got fixed she had Edge in one of her litters. Of that litter, all kittens were adopted except for Edge. Edge is very edgy around people she does not know, and spent the majority of her kittenhood inside the little hole you see her peeking out of. She was raised in an outdoor shelter that was open to the outside, and as she got older she started going out more. She is more socialized towards people and definitely dogs, but would really do better either in a barn setting where she can show off her working skills, or in the care of a cat extroardinare that knows how to properly socialize these types of kitties to become indoor cats. It can happen! It just takes time and patience, which I do not have at the moment. Edge is truly beautiful, a rare sight to the eyes. While Edge was approaching her 3rd or 4th month, I noticed she wasn't coming to the nightly feedings for about 4-5 days. It never occurred to me that she could be in heat because she was so young! I have a lot of experience with dogs, but cats, not so much. So of course a few weeks later I notice Edge looking puffy, like she ate a big snack. A few days later, I hear the unmistakable mews of a newborn kitten, and am shocked to see a beautiful tiny little puff of fur curled up in Edge's paws. Edge had one kitten, Itty Bitty. I am not sure if Itty Bitty is a boy or girl, but let's just say he. He is nothing like mama. He's very social and likes to play. He's so cute 😍 and ✨️ cuddly. He's around 9 weeks old and could very well use a best friend to grow old with. I've been taking Itty Bitty inside some nights to get him used to an indoor environment in case his new family wants him inside. Got him used to loud music, dogs, other cats, TV noise, etc. He loves being inside or outside, but after a few hours ALWAYS wants to go back to his mama, Edge. Edge and Itty have the closest relationship I've seen in a post newborn kitten and mother. Usually mothers reject friendships with their kittens after 8 weeks, out of competition for resources. That is not the case with these two! They are best friends and I would really hate to see them get separated. If this has to happen for them both to receive good homes, I understand. Come see Edge and Itty today! They come with a pet carrier, bag of current food (dry Meow Mix), and litter box. They are both litter trained but can also go without litter box if you want them to use the natural soil at your place. Please text me at anytime to schedule a time to come meet them or pick them up, or call if that is your preference.
