Diatonic guitarist, gonna try this again

Y'know, Diatonic was a great band. I dunno, maybe it's time to let it go, and start all over. I've spent several years creating and working on maintaining that band, which has been difficult at times to say the least, and the band really hasn't been active in several months, so... here goes... I am a guitarist\backing vocalist with many years of local experience, have all of my own gear and transportation, still have connections with business people and places all across the Hampton Roads area, and I'm looking for a new creative outlet for music that I enjoy, both covers and originals. My influences are varied, and I enjoy playing music by many different bands from the 70's - AC\DC, Led Zeppelin, Rush, Kiss - thru some of the "Seattle grunge bands" - Alice In Chains, Soundgarden - but my "style" is mostly in line with all things 80's metal and hard rock - Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Motley Crue, Ratt, Dokken, and of course Randy Rhoads and Eddie Van Halen, to name just a few. I would like to start with some cover tunes just to get things rolling, but hopefully start creating original music in the not too distant future. Guitar, Bass, Drums, Lead Vocals - yeah, I'm looking for you, because it is time for me to look around and find some great musicians and put together another killer band.
