A family are looking for another experienced housekeeper to join their household. They live predominantly in NYC but travel frequently on weekends to CT. This role to Thursday – Monday, and in live-out in NY, but accommodation is offered if asked to travel with them to CT. The role is an afternoon/ evening shift from 2pm – 10pm. Location: New York City and Washington, CT Hours: Thursday – Monday, 2pm-10pm Benefits: Health & Dental, PTO & Federal Holidays The Family: Mom & day and 2 daughters, 2 dogs The House: New York City; 4,000 sqft Washington, CT: 7,500 sqft The Staff: A chef, an Estate Manager, contract cleaners in CT and a morning shift Housekeeper in NY Key Responsibilities* Please find the primary responsibilities outlined below: *Please note the below list is not exhaustive. Household Cleaning • Working with the other members of the team to ensure all aspects of the property, are maintained and cleaned to the highest standard at all times, and arranging professional cleaning when needed • Tidying and organizing all rooms to ensure items are neatly stored and rooms look immaculate at all times • Ordering and organizing supplies, toiletries, and groceries as needed. Arranging returns • Assisting with cooking preparation and clean up/ Assisting the chef • Table setting and clearing & serving guests (no formal experience required) • Managing all laundry, hand washing, ironing and dry cleaning, to include towels and linens • Simple sewing and light mending • Properly folding and organizing/ managing drawers and closets • Greeting guests, couriers and vendors at the door and overseeing appointments when necessary • Checking all items in the home are in good working order and reporting problems • Looking after guests • Packing family for travel • Assisting with the family dogs as needed Candidates must: have papers and be legally able to work in the US be happy to travel to CT as requested be vaccinated like animals ideal if they have their own car to drive from and to CT but not required
