Description

A pretzel, from dialectal German pronunciation, standard German: Breze(l) is a type of baked pastry made from dough that is commonly shaped into a knot. The traditional pretzel shape is a distinctive symmetrical form, with the ends of a long strip of dough intertwined and then twisted back onto itself in a particular way. Today, pretzels come in a wide range of shapes. Eaten alone, savory, salted, and dunked in a cheesy sauce or sprinkled with cinnamon/sugar. This class is bound to please! Chef Gina will share a video showing the technique for making the dough for pretzels. Because the dough requires rising or proofing time, premade dough will be available for students to each roll and form 6 pretzels. They will be baked, sampled and boxed for take home. The price includes all ingredients and the recipes.
