Catalytic converters have become a prime target for thieves across the country, but having your catalytic converter engraved can make it harder for thieves to sell and easier to recover. It might even make a thief think twice about taking it. A time slot registration and a waiver is required to participate in this event. By reading the information below and entering you vehicle's identification information during the check out process, you are completing the waiver. Please have your vehicle's registration handy to enter the necessary data. READ THIS WAIVER AND ENTER VEHICLE INFORMATION AT CHECK OUT 1.The undersigned owns the vehicle described as entered. 2. The undersigned gives permission for the catalytic converter on the described vehicle to be engraved with the last 8 digits of the vehicle’s Vehicle Identification Number (VIN). The undersigned consents to the raising or lifting of said vehicle for such purpose. 3. The undersigned understands that while VIN engraving is useful for prevention of catalytic converter theft, it does not guarantee that the catalytic converter won’t be stolen; nor does it guarantee that the vehicle or catalytic converter will be recovered if stolen. 4. The undersigned waives, releases, indemnifies, hold harmless, and forever discharges the City of Redmond and its officials, officers, employees, volunteers, and agents from all liabilities and claims of any nature whatsoever, whether known or unknown, foreseen or unforeseen; that the undersigned now has or that may subsequently accrue to the undersigned, arising from or relating to the engraving work described above. This indemnification obligation includes, without limitation, any damage to the catalytic converter or above-described vehicle that may occur as a result of the engraving work described above or other damages that may arise from participation in the Event.
