The Birch Road Wine Fest will be held on Saturday, September 24th, on the grounds of the historic Stimson-Green Mansion in First Hill. The event will feature 25+ wines to taste, from wineries reaching as far as South America and France to our own backyard in Seattle, Walla Walla, and Columbia Valley. All the wines selected are Birch Road favorites and sure to impress any wine lover for both taste and price. Attendees of Birch Road Wine Fest will each get their own commemorative glass and can explore the sample tables at their own leisure. Discover a wine you love? Stop by the Wine Fest shop before you leave and purchase bottles for enjoyment at home. All proceeds of bottle sales and ticket sales benefit the Washington Trust for Historic Preservation at the Stimson-Green Mansion. Discover your new favorite wines for the summer and support the preservation of Seattle's historic buildings! About Birch Road: Birch Road is an independent, women-owned BYOB neighborhood clubhouse located in the Carriage House of the Stimson-Green Mansion. A haven for wine and spirits lovers, Birch Road membership includes fingerprint access to the clubhouse 365 days a year, a personal locker in a temperature-controlled bottle storage cellar, access to exclusive member events and tastings, and access to the member lounge and tasting room for more casual nights with friends. There are no bartenders, no TVs, and no bill at the end of the night. Rooted in the belief that the best path to the community is through good drinks and good conversation, Birch Road is a great space to meet new people or simply an extension of your home to work, gather with friends, or take a break. About the Stimson-Green Mansion and the Washington Trust for Historic Preservation: The Stimson-Green Mansion is a historic landmark in Seattle. Completed in 1901, this landmark highlights the life and times of two prominent early Seattle families. The home was built for the Stimson family and was the longtime residence of the Green family. As of 1977, the mansion was designated a Seattle Landmark and is listed in the National Register of Historic Places. Today, the mansion is home to the Washington Trust for Historic Preservation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to saving the places that matter in Washington State and to promoting sustainable and economically viable communities through historic preservation.
