Description

Aligned with the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) commitment to advancing and building a safe, efficient, sustainable and equitable transportation system, the Airport Cooperative Research Program (ACRP) is strengthening its engagement with transportation-related organizations that serve women and minority groups to increase members' awareness of and participation in ACRP. ACRP has partnered with the Airport Minority Advisory Council (AMAC)—a national organization that increases Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE)/Airport Concessions Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (ACDBE) participation in airports and throughout the aviation industry—to forge new partnerships between prime firms and sub-consultants seeking work on upcoming research projects that address challenges impacting airport operators. Through the Expanding DBE Participation in Aviation with ACRP and AMAC event, ACRP will also preview the selected projects for the Fiscal Year 2023 project, discuss goals for inclusive teaming relationships and best practices for submitting a proposal. Requests for proposals are expected to be released starting in the fall of 2022 and will only be available on the TRB website. Instructions to register for e-mail notification of requests for proposals are available at http://www.trb.org/acrp. Guidance for proposal preparation is provided in the brochure, Information and Instructions for Preparing Proposals.
