Description

The Southeast Environmental Task Force centers community and culture in our practice. We believe joy is the strongest form of resistance and it is the fuel we use in our battles against environmental injustice. We will be recognizing the Southeast Side's rich heritage and culture by celebrating the traditional Mexican holiday, Dia de los Muertos. In addition to caring for each other, we recognize we must also care for the land that provides for us including our nature and wildlife. We will be highlighting animals we must protect in the Calumet region: the Marsh Wren and the Great Egret. These birds live and thrive off of our community's wetlands, just like us. Join us as we celebrate not only our environmental work, but our beautiful people and natural world! Tickets start at $50 (dinner included). In addition to tickets, support us in other ways such as: participating in our silent auction, purchasing merchandise or sponsoring the event.
