This class is all about the Cold-Process Method of making soap. Join this fun hands on workshop, and you will be confident to make your favorite soap with all-natural ingredients. Workshop description: How soap is made: Saponification is “kitchen chemistry”Safety on how to handle lye (caustic soda)How to calculate the proportions of soap ingredientsChoose your own fragrance, colors, and additive from our extensive collection at Wimsatt Soap Company.You will make homemade soap that will condition and soften your skin with olive oil, coconut oil, and other skin nourishing oils. Participants will make 1pound of soap to take home. Recommended for adults only. 21 and overAll Supplies ProvidedLight Refreshments & Drinks providedSafety! To protect your skin please wear long sleeves, long pants and closed toe shoes. Please bring along a bath sized towel to wrap and keep your loaf of soap warm when you take it home.
