Tucked away in western Flagler County, lies Haw Creek Preserve — 1,005 acres of land about two miles of the creek's southern boundary. This area was set aside to preserve the cypress, oak and hardwood swamp that borders Haw Creek. Haw trees also line the creek and produce the small apple-like fruit from which the creek gets its name. The park contains 7 distinct natural communities, including forests, hammocks, flatwoods, marshes, swamps and a blackwater stream. A winding boardwalk overlooks the creek.
eBird: 114 species
