Hi Musician Friends, We're re-tooling our band a bit after the long COVID winter, and are looking for a female singer who can sing lead and backup (and who can eventually blend nicely with our other female lead singer). As for the "and..." in the posting title, we're also very open to adding brass, strings, woodwinds or hand percussionist, so if anything below sounds interesting feel free to get back to us. About us... Our ages range from 20's-ish to over-40 (but your age is not important) and our musical interests are a bit diverse, but mostly in the rock/blues/alt/jam-band/psych/folk leanings. We all have day jobs and families, and at this point are not looking to become rock stars, but rather to have fun making music that we can be proud of, playing cool covers, working on originals, recording and maybe some limited gigging. Lastly, we have a long term view and are willing to make an investment of time and emotional energy to actually make music that we can be proud of. Please have a similar outlook along with a desire to thrive in a relaxed, supportive, collaborative environment. Some influences include: zep, doors, floyd, hendrix, allman bros, traffic, blind faith, steve winwood, fleetwood mac, janis joplin, courtney barnett, garbage, portishead, mazzy star, nirvana, tool, soundgarden, dylan, the who, grateful dead, beatles, radiohead, black keys, shankar, coltrane, miles, brubeck, sabbath, john lee hooker, cream, mamas and papas, yeah, yeah, yeahs, yes, plus lots more prog/blues/jazz/folk people than I can remember right now.
