Description
My husband and I are looking to adopt a friend for our current female guinea pig. We recently acquired her when we purchased our new home about 6 weeks ago.
Our current lady (Lourdes) is 8 years old and had belonged to the previous home owners who moved cross country. She used to have a friend, but that piggy passed away a few years ago. Since guinea pigs are social animals and it’s best to have at least two, we are hoping to find her a new little friend, but don’t want to upset Lourdes (especially with her advanced age), so we’d like to arrange a meet and greet to make sure both pigs are happy about each other’s company before we commit. We definitely want another female or a neutered male- no babies for this old gal!
We are happy to pay an adoption fee and are financially responsible and stable. I am a veterinary nurse with a history of previous guinea pig care of my own pets and patients. We have a pet-safe and friendly home, a large enough indoor enclosure (as well as an outdoor enclosure with no pesticides or herbicides for times when we are home to supervise in nice weather) to house two pigs and plenty of time and love to give.
Feel free to send an email or text with photos and any questions you may have. Madison and surrounding areas within an hour or so.
Thanks!
