Need use of truck/suv periodically

I need to use a bigger vehicle 3 or 4 times a year. I have an SUV with a trailer hitch which I am getting rid of. For the few times a year I use it, it is not worth the extra maintenance, fees and insurance. I could go through the complications of renting one when needed. I would rather make an arrangement with someone to use their vehicle when I need one. I am open to any feasible arrangement. Please reply with some detail on your arrangement and the cost. I am also amenable for a group purchase if reasonable.
