Vocals/ guitar Wanted- soul, funk, world, disco, rock (Pflugerville) "Sunset Cove" needs to find a replacement singer/guitarist, our guy is getting too busy with work to put in the time. Our current guy is great and plays guitar and does lead vocals, but he's starting a new business on top of his full-time job and it's looking like he is not going to have the time to put in to rehearsing and recording. Our main goal is to play fun music that we enjoy and that gets crowds dancing,,, We have a bunch of songs that literally get the entire place jumping and it is so fun! So, we generally are not playing "heavier" music or music that kills the party/dance vibe, so to speak. we are into grooves, catchy vocal hooks, interesting variety.. We are looking for a permanent member of the band and we commit to 2 practices a week in Plfugerville (Weds. and Sun.) in order to develop new original songs. We have a lot of fun and our recent shows have been great, LOTS of folks dancing and interacting, venues asking us back right away, audience members contacting us about doing private events, etc. We have 20+ songs of mostly original danceable music- funk/disco/latin/ 80s new wave are all the sounds we are playing.. we rehearse in pflugerville every Weds. and Sunday evening, we'll do 1-2 gigs a month and have gigs lined up now.. we have a relaxed and friendly attitude, but we are all very established and veteran players.. We are not seeking to make significant money from this band, we all have day jobs, but we do love to play quality shows and some money will come from that, of course. Age range 20s-40s is best for us.
