The Democrats are obviously desperate because in 65 days or so the Rs will regain the House, Joe will get impeached, and the numerous investigations for the following two years in the House and Senate will destroy today's Democrat political machine. It is unlikely that the Democrats will be in a position to nominate any Supreme Court Justices for a decade or more. It will be 6 to 8 years before they will get a chance to take back the House.
