Description
After more than two years in our house we sadly have to rehome our catahoula mix Fisher. Now that our son is getting bigger and is mobile I am afraid to take any chances with them.
Fisher has fear based aggression. Male aggression, dominance issues, resource guarding issues, and is a biter in these cases. He usually does not make contact but goes for you. Usually he realizes right away that he has done wrong and will put himself in his crate. (His mean face stays on for this) When he’s not seeing red he is an amazing dog who has learned a whole lot of things. However we believe he was taken from his mom too young and will just forever be scarred from it.
We are hoping to rehome him to a house with space, patience, dog knowledge and probably no kids. We are afraid he will just sit at a shelter forever and don’t want to do that to our beautiful boy. I wish we were enough for him, but we just aren’t. He is a high energy breed and needs an active lifestyle. He loves to swim, go on walks, learn tricks and commands, do food puzzles and play with toys.
Please let me know have any questions about Fisher. He would love to meet you. He really has so much potential he just needs to be worked with.
