ABOUT THE WINES The 2008 and 2012 vintages have been the best on record and have been compared to classic vintage years like 1952. The "Special Club" or "Club Tresors" was created in 1971 as an association for Grower Champagne producers. When a vintage year is declared, they each submit their best bottles for a blind taste review by their peers in the association. They then decide which were the best of the best, and those rare bottles get the "Special Cub" designation for the year. These bottles are extremely limited and rarely make it out of the country to export.
