Farm Hand / Jack of Trades Farm hand needed in the mountains of Tennessee. Our family farm is in need of hard working and like minded individuals. We are not a cowboy ranch. We are a classic Americana Farm. Every day is a new project and we are striving to build a once in a lifetime family farm that incorporates American values, family values and stewardship to the Earth. Our goal is to create a self sustainable farm in all ways. Housing is included and access to our gardens, milk, eggs along with the rights to hunt deer and turkey on our land during season. We do run a background check. A valid drivers license is a must. No smoking or drugs. Must be physically fit to lift, pull and be on your feet all day. Skills needed include fencing, carpentry ( or at least an understanding and enjoyment while doing it), being able to run large and small equipment including tractors, skid steers, excavators and driving trailers, comfortable with multiple DIY building projects as we bring this farm and infrastructure to life. If you have animal experience even a bigger plus. It is farm life so you never know what you are going to need to do. Personal characteristics should include a great sense of humor, hard working, being able to work independently and also in a group setting. Having a sense of personal pride and knowing that this life on the farm is not just about work but creating a space to grow and find like minded individuals who are tired of the way the world is currently running. We want respectful individuals who can see the big picture and not get bogged down with the details. Please no families at this time. We just don’t have the right housing for a full family. Shared caretakers quarters. We are not comfortable bringing on anyone’s private livestock or large animals. This is our private home. We are very particular about who we hire and who we want around our children and ourselves. A strong moral compass is a must. NO VAX REQUIRED!
