Description
Currently located in Ballard, the Seattle Metaphysical Library is trying to find a new, stable, affordable, and accessible home in or around the Seattle area (though we are open regarding location). We are trying to find something between 500-800 sq ft to house our (growing) collection of books, tapes, and various ephemera, with reliable access for library members. This is an organization that draws in people, it could pair really well with another local business or organization should there be an opportunity (I've been picturing a cozy coffee shop front, underground/upstairs/back library, but there's really a lot of businesses which could pair well here!) We primarily need the space to operate the library from, but a space which is open for small events (presentations, showings of films, club meet ups, etc) would be great!
I am hoping to find someone who's got a space that they want filled with this sort of stuff. Most retail spaces, especially around Seattle, are getting a bit too expensive for a non-profit library to reliably operate from with our current means of fundraising. Hopefully there is a lover of the strange and esoteric who has the means to help us keep providing access to a variety of strange and esoteric media to people!
Reach out if you have any leads, want more information, have any help to offer, or for whatever reason! Thank you!
