Versatile drummer in Ithaca seeking local, highly skilled musicians aiming for local gigs and maybe recording. ANY INSTRUMENT: guitar, keyboards, electric and upright bass, voice, brass instruments; but also, organ, accordion, clarinet, cello, sitar, tabla drum, vibraphone, lute, flute…. Really, any instrument, if you play it at a very high-level and are musically nimble to play it/improvise in different genres. Ability to read music for your instrument is a plus. GENRES: jazz, world, jazz-rap/jazz-hip-hop, folk/singer-songwriter, electronica, funk, soul, reggae, latin; (not punk, not heavy metal, not country, but maybe rock if in the vibe of Santana, Roxy Music, Hendrix, Jefferson Airplane, Doobie Brothers). AIM: assemble a duo, trio, or larger ensemble to rehearse once or twice a week and gig locally at least once or twice a month; maybe record in the future.
