Description

The ICS-National Certification Exam battery includes a written test and an Assessing Cue Errors (ACE) test. The written test consists of 100 multiple choice questions, 50 questions drawn from Cued Speech production topics, and 50 questions drawn from the additional topics. The ACE test consists of 30 multiple-choice format test items presented on videotape. Each item may be cued correctly or contain one cueing error and must be categorized accordingly (correct, form error, handshape error, placement error, or number error). In order to pass, a score greater than 85% must be achieved on both the written exam and the ACE (video errors component) in the same sitting (ie. if you are not satisfied with your result, the test must be re-taken in its entirety). Hours: Saturday: 9am-12pm The NCSA awards 3 CAUsE hours to all participants who pass the National Certification Exam. Safety: Every effort will be made to keep socially distant and spread out. If you are experiencing any symptoms related to Covid or have been exposed to someone who has tested positive within two weeks of the exam, you are asked to not attend this event on this day. You will be able to reschedule your exam for another day and time. Need a hotel? The NCSA has reserved a limited number of rooms at the TRU hotel (369 Maine Mall Rd, South Portland, ME 04106) 4.7 miles from the University of Southern Maine. We recommend booking your room soon to avoid unavailability. Rate: $209 plus tax. Phone: (207) 221-3131. Need more information? Contact Amy Ruberl at [email protected] .
