The Department of Family Services, Domestic Violence and Human Trafficking Division will host a Mother-Daughter Event titled Girls Talk: Love United. We are creating an open space for mothers and daughters to discuss healthy relationships and self-love. Mothers, Aunties, Grandmothers, Mentors, please bring your teen girls out for this fun engaging midday tea.
Tea will include:
Healthy Relationship Conversations
Youth-Dating Violence Prevention Interactive Activity
Bounding Activities for Mother and Daughter
Tea Etiquette
Painting Memories on Canvas
Door prizes
Event isĀ FREE. Appropriate for middle school age youth and older.
Only 33% of teens who were in an abusive relationship ever told anyone about the abuse.
