Description

Did you know that spending time in nature is good for you? Of course you do. It is so good for you, in fact, that doctors in Japan, Canada, and the USA are beginning to write prescriptions for it The good news is you don't need to wait for a doctor to tell you what you already know. Autumn is a time of many transitions. Our bodies can sometime feel stressed and depleted from changing schedules and waning sunlight. Forest Therapy is based on the Japanese practice of Shinrin-Yoku (forest bathing) and is designed to optimize the benefits of spending time in nature. We will greet the forest through a series of invitations and embodiment practices designed to engage our senses and awaken our spirit . This experience is an opportunity to slow down and hear the voice from the more-than-human-world. We will be outside for the entire walk. Please dress for the day's weather. This is a slow guided walk through a forested habitat. This is not a hike and does not require any special skills, knowledge, equipment, or experience. Covid-19 Protocol: This event will be held entirely outside with ample space for social distancing. The choice to wear a mask or not will be honored on an individual basis.
