Description

The beginning of Hiram Lodge was the assembly of ten brothers from King Solomon’s Lodge, on September 7, 1797 in the Munroe Tavern in Lexington. A petition was prepared, signed and submitted to the Most Worshipful Grand Lodge of Massachusetts , Most Worshipful Paul Revere presiding. On September 7, 2022, this seminal event will be re-created at the historic Munroe Tavern, which still stands in Lexington. There will be self-guided tours of the Tavern, followed by a dramatization of the very beginning of Hiram Lodge, which is the oldest Lodge comprising Mystic Valley Lodge. The event will begin at 6:00 PM and end before 8:00 PM, and all are invited to dinner afterwards at the Heights Pub in Arlington Heights.
