Oct 20 "3rd Thursday" Educational Wine SeminarCellar Treasures - We're doing it again!Our September "Cellar Treasures" event seats disappeared so quickly, and so many people expressed an interest that We're going to do it again in October. If you attended the September event, please do NOT reserve seats for October...we want as many people as possible to attend one of these events. The theme for October will be "Cellar Treasures" Peter will look through his cellar to find wines that are starting to reach their peak, and that he thinks will be interesting and educational. He'll try (as much as possible) to organize them into cohesive groups/flights. However, there will be no rules here. Wine can come from any vintage, any region, anywhere in the world (No, we will not have any "Maui Blanc" Pineapple Wine). Fred might sneak a bottle or two in from his cellar. We hope this is an interesting new theme. Not sure if you prefer Bordeaux or Burgundy or California or Oregon? You'll probably get a chance to try them all and make a decision! You might see whites, red, rose's, maybe even sparkling wines! Seats become available at 6:00pm on Friday, Sep 16. Cost for seats is $35.00 per person. We are NO LONGER USING A VOLUNTARY CONTRIBUTION SYSTEM. Please pay for your seats when you reserve them here on EventBrite. Cancellations with full refund can be made up until 7 days before the event. After that, refunds will be issued only if we are able to re-sell your seat(s). Thank you for your understanding. Please note that these are NOT for-profit events. The price of your seat helps to defray (but does not fully cover) the cost of the wines we will present for this event. You will receive far more value than the $35 cost, in terms of the wines you will taste, and the experience and knowledge you will take home with you. After 6:00pm on Fri 09/16/2022, if you do not see any availability on this site, please click on the link and ask to be added to the waiting list. If there is no option for the waiting list, please let Fred know & he will add you to that list. The event will be Thursday, Oct 20, starting promptly at 7:30pm until approximately 10:00pm. We plan for this to be an outdoor seminar, to take place on the deck overlooking the vineyard. Check the weather forecast...be prepared with a jacket or sweater in case it starts to get cool later in the evening! We will set up at the last minute, and we do have the option of moving inside if it looks like the weather will not be good enough for the outdoor setting. Doors open at 7:00pm. Seats will be pre-assigned, please let us know if there is someone with whom you would like to be seated, and we will do our best to accomodate you. There will be several flights of wines which we will learn about and discuss. No food will be served (except for bread, to clear your palate), so plan on having dinner before your arrival. Wine events should always be a FRAGRANCE FREE ZONE. We request that attendees refrain from wearing strong perfumes/cologne/scents, as this interferes with the ability of your tablemates to properly appreciate the aromas of the wine. Please, maximum of two seats per sign-up on this site. If you have friends you know will be attending, & want to sit with them, please let Fred know so he can arrange that. Conversely (just kidding), if there is someone with whom you do NOT want to sit, Fred doesn't want to know (but he will accomodate you anyway). Bring 4 wine glasses. This seminar will be held at the home of Drs. Peter Adesman & Robin Miller, below the house on the deck, overlooking the vineyard.
