On September 10th, we are releasing our next dedication beer in honor of GREEN BERET SSG TIMOTHY R. MCGILL who died 21 SEP 2013 from wounds received from small-arms fire in Paktia Province, Afghanistan. SSG McGill was an 18B Special Forces Weapons Sergeant and was deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. ABOUT THE BEER: Standing 6'7" and with a heart of gold, Tim was known as "The Gentle Giant”, which will also be the name of this beer. He was a big fan of stouts, so The Gentle Giant will be a 6.5% ABV Export Stout. HOW TO GET IT ON TAP: This beer will go on sale at the brewery September 10th at noon. It will be available on tap and in cans. No growler fills on this beer. HOW TO ORDER: Bevv pre orders will start on 5SEP to states where our reseller can ship. BACKGROUND: Tim initially joined the Marines in Hawaii in 2001 as a machine gunner and was assigned to the 3rd Marine Division. After joining the Army, in 2011 he graduated from the Special Forces Qualification Course as a weapons sergeant and was assigned to A Company, 2nd Battalion, 19th SFG(A) in Middletown, Rhode Island.
