Description

This September, join us at The Novel Neighbor in Webster Groves for a special community event that will provide personal insights on one ordinary woman, Carmen Ward, who shed her fears and excuses to unapologetically live her authentic destiny. In 2021, Dr. Sam Collins of Aspire for Equality featured Becomingcarmen founder Carmen Ward in a chapter of her second book, Rebellious: Women Who Broke the Rules and Changed Their World. We will also feature Krysta Grangeno, of Reflecting Change; Julia Ho, co-founder of STL Mutual Aid & founder of Solidarity Economy STL; and Latanya Ivy, Development Coordinator for STL Mutual Aid and Founder of The Single Mom's Pod. Together, these everyday citizens with a passion for community activism will unpack the importance of authentic relationships while reimagining how we support people and communities in reaching their destinations, no matter what those destinations may be. Please make room in your schedule to join us for authentic connection, uplifting conversation, and light refreshments catered by Neeuq's Eats. We’ll finish the evening off with a book signing, networking opportunities, and chances to win prizes in our raffle! Becomingcarmen is a socially-driven consulting firm, whose core mission is empowering organizations, communities and everyday people to undergo dynamic transformation. In service to this goal, Becomingcarmen LLC has offered personal coaching, consulting, and motivational speaking since its establishment in 2020. From this inception, Becomingcarmen has hit the ground running, creating necessary community access for individuals to create the lives and communities they desire while forging resilient community partnerships. If you are unable to join us in this interconnected event, consider supporting us through our open collective work. 15% of the revenue raised will go back to St. Louis Mutual Aid to continue the communal work.
