For over 45 years, the Norman Bird Sanctuary's annual Harvest Fair attracted visitors from far and wide for a celebration of the harvest season. This award-winning event is a fall favorite in New England. Challenge friends to a sack race, compete in the Home & Garden Competition, peruse the Crafter’s Tent, enjoy live music, and so much more during this weekend of festivities for the whole family! Ticketing From September 1 until September 20 at 5 p.m., you can purchase your Harvest Fair tickets at a discount!* Norman Bird Sanctuary members will receive an additional discount on tickets. Members will be emailed a promo code that must be entered during checkout to apply member discount.** After September 20 at 5 p.m., ticket prices for members and non-members will increase to $12 General Admission and $8 Ages 3-18. Each ticket purchased provides one-day access to Harvest Fair. If you are interested in attending Saturday and Sunday, please purchase tickets for both days. Crafts, games, and activities tickets will be available for purchase at ticket booths on the fairgrounds. *Pre-sale discount is reflected in current ticket prices. After 5 p.m. on September 20, 2022, ticket prices will increase by $1.00. No exceptions. **After 5 p.m. on September 20, 2022, ticket prices for members will increase to standard prices and the promo code will be invalid. Venue Guidelines The Norman Bird Sanctuary is a nonprofit wildlife sanctuary and environmental education center. All proceeds directly support our mission to protect our 300-acre refuge for the benefit of wildlife and the community to enjoy. All guests are asked to respect the following guidelines: • Smoking is strictly prohibited. • Outside beverages and seating are not permitted. • Dogs and other pets are not allowed. Smoking and Vaping Norman Bird Sanctuary is a no-smoking facility. Smoking and vaping are not permitted. Refund Policy Tickets cannot be refunded or exchanged. If the event is cancelled due to inclement weather, tickets will be refunded through Eventbrite. FAQ What does admission include? Your ticket includes entry to Harvest Fair, parking, kid-friendly activities, and live entertainment for children and adults. Food, beverages, crafts, and games will be available for purchase inside. Will parking be available? Free parking will be available. Navigate to 583 Third Beach Road, Middletown, RI 02842 and follow signs for parking. Can I bring in food and beverages? Outside food and beverages are not allowed. A variety of local food and beverage vendors will offer refreshments during the fair. We encourage you to bring a reusable water bottle. There will be a refill station on the fairgrounds. Can I leave the fairgrounds and return later that day? Yes. You will receive a wristband that will grant you re-entry. Can I purchase tickets at the door? Tickets will be available for purchase at the gates. We encourage you to purchase your tickets ahead of time through Eventbrite. What are the benefits of purchasing my tickets ahead of time? Advance ticket purchasers will be directed to a dedicated gate for expedited entry. Purchasing your tickets during the pre-sale period before September 20 at 5 p.m. gives you a discount of $1 per ticket. What's the standard price of tickets? How much will I pay at the gates? After September 20 at 5 p.m., ticket prices for members and non-members will increase to $12 General Admission and $8 Ages 3-18. We encourage you to print out your tickets or have them readily available on your smartphone for speedier entry into the fair. What time do doors open? Doors open at 10 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Is the event cash only? Norman Bird Sanctuary will offer credit and cash payment options for entry and games ticket purchases. Payment methods for independent food, beverage, and craft vendors are at the vendors' discretion. How much does food and beverage cost? Pricing for food and beverages is at the vendors' discretion. How much do crafts, games and activities cost? There will be a variety of free and paid activities. Fee-based activities range from $1.00 to $5.00. Will alcohol be available? Guests 21+ will be able to choose from a selection of Ragged Island beers. Beer can be purchased in the Live Music and Beer Garden tent. Guests will be asked to show proof of age before entering the tent and given a 21+ wristband upon age verification. What’s the rain policy? Harvest Fair is held rain or shine! We will cancel in the case of torrential or unsafe weather conditions, and tickets will be refunded through Eventbrite. What's the refund policy? No refunds or exchanges. If the fair is cancelled, we will refund tickets through Eventbrite. Are pets allowed? No. We love pets but we cannot allow them at the Norman Bird Sanctuary due to the sensitive nature of the habitats and wildlife we protect. Please leave all pets at home. Service animals are allowed.
