Sunday, Sept 25th from 1-6p join in the construction of an EARTH OVEN, followed by a potluck. We will be making an oven fo making pizza and other foods...by mixing clay & sand subsoil to form a useful, beautiful, oven for making pizza and other foods! Ovens made of earth are traditional in many cultures around the world. This workshop also serves as an introuction to natural building by teaching how to source, mix and apply a Sand/Clay mix which can also be used to create benches, earth plasters, floors & more. These ovens are fired with wood and can be sculpted into a variety of shapes & designs. An Earth Oven - a Cob Oven, is a great addition to a back yard or community garden, providing an elemental experience of earth, fire & community! Enjoy staying on to have a potluck together.
