auto A/C new compressor not cold enough

My 13 year old compact car has developed A/C issues. had new compressor installed.. now it blows cold when I start driving, but 10 min later it doesnt seem cold at all then fifteen minutes later, back to cold If I turn the car off, twenty minutes later will blow cold, then repeat the cycle Again, new compressor installed with freon any ideas on how to fix? please give me an idea of fees involved thank you PS please have experience with auto air...I have had guys come by, with no tools trying to figure what is wrong. I am not being a jerk, but so far, it seems mechanics are just guessing. I am trying to NOT use a franchise auto repair shop
