Acme Body Shop is a reputable, locally-owned auto collision repair shop which has been a solid South Portland business for 68 years. We are looking for a Painter's Helper / Detailer. We are interested in you if you have a positive attitude, are self-motivated and willing to work hard. Job includes: Being a painter's helper by scuffing parts (we can train you), cleaning cars after repairs, and helping intake parts deliveries. There would be light janitorial duties, including occasional sweeping and light shoveling of yard and entry areas. At times applicant would need to assist with transport to and pick up of vehicles to mechanic shop and dealerships. Valid driver's license required. Experience helpful but not required. Reliability and ability to take direction and work with others are the key abilities we want in a new member of the team. This job is very dynamic – Employees need to be flexible to a variety of tasks in a fast-paced environment. Employees must be self-motivatived and able to interact with different people throughout the day. SKILLS: Ability to multi-task, read and understand basic paperwork BODY MECHANICS: Sit/stand/bend/twist and lift approximately 50 lbs. OTHER: Valid driver's license.
