South Portland custom home builder looking for full time, year round LEAD CARPENTER with "frame to finish" experience and who is reliable, hardworking, and works well individually and within a team. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. with (#1) valid driver’s license and (#2) reliable transportation. Pay is negotiable and can be 1099 or through payroll. Hours we work are typically Monday-Friday, 7am-4pm. Work areas are Greater Portland, Scarborough, and generally the Southern Maine region. Our current crew has been together for 5-10 years on average ~ come be a part of our team! Benefits: 401-K, Holiday pay, and Vacation time (PTO) after a 90-day waiting period. FULL JOB DECRIPTION Position consists of working in a crew constructing, installing and repairing structures. You will work with a variety of materials including wood, concrete, composites, metal, steel, etc. while safely using hand tools, woodworking tools and power tools. Typical work includes framing, installing doors and windows, siding installation and deck building. Other duties may include repairing or building cabinets, doors, frames and trim. Additional duties may be assigned, including cleaning up worksite debris and moving materials around a jobsite. Employee should be able to follow directions, maintain a clean workspace, adhere to safety guidelines and possess good time management and organizational skills.
