Long haired kitten looking for forever home

Description

Miss Poppy is a shy older kitten who was rescued from a feral cat colony a little late, and she is still looking for her perfect forever home. She is withdrawn and shy with people but *very* friendly with other cats. Poppy’s ideal home is a quiet home where she can have space to come out of her shell, maybe with another cat to show her the ropes. She’s been with her foster mom for a month now and will hang out and play, but isn’t a cuddly cat. It’s possible in her long term home that she will bond with a person or people who she will snuggle with, but she may not ever be comfortable hanging out with guests. Poppy is spunky and clever, gorgeous, playful and talkative. She’s perfect with her litter box and is flea treated and dewormed. Once she settles in, she’s going to be a great cat for the right person. But she makes a bad first impression because she’s so nervous, and she acts shut down and sad. If you think you might be interested in Poppy, we are happy to arrange a “home visit” and let Poppy come stay with you for a few days or weeks to make sure she is a good fit, prior to formalizing the adoption. This would allow Poppy to relax and show you her best self. Poppy needs to find her home soon, or she will have to be trap-neuter-released and sent back to the alley she was born in. We’re trying to avoid this at all costs, but she cannot stay in her foster home forever. If you have any questions, please text or email. Thank you!
