I'm an amateur writer who writes strictly as a hobby. I do find writing on my own to be difficult and limited to only my imagination, I prefer having a writing partner to stretch my writing and help my imagination go beyond what I'd expect. Then we can volley it back and forth similar to the choose your own adventure books I read years ago.
