This individual is responsible for day to day solar installations, as part of the team performing rooftop installations of solar equipment. The solar installation process is fast paced and ever changing, and we strive to install without error or leaks. This person will plan and execute the installations of junction boxes, roof attachments, rail and micro inverters. As a Solar Installation Technician, you're responsible for all aspects of a wide variety of duties from carrying materials to and from the roof and attaching equipment in the manner taught to you, and other given assignments as directed by your superiors which can also include installation, maintenance, inspection, operation, and repair for our residential clients. May include but not be limited to a variety of construction duties. In addition, the ideal candidate will have high attention to detail and genuinely care for his/her craftsmanship. Qualifications • Preferred 6 months experience in the construction fields • Ability to work in extreme environments (example: hot sun, cold) & Capable of lifting 50 lbs • Must be willing and able to climb ladders, stairs and work on rooftops • Excellent customer service & communication skills • Must be a self-starter with a natural sense of urgency and motivation to succeed • Preferred to have a valid state driver’s license Requirements: • Valid State Issued ID • Clean driving record (for driving company vehicles) • Ability to pass a background check • Residential solar installation experience preferred The ideal candidate would possess the following skills and attributes: • Detail-oriented • Excellent communication skills and professional demeanor • Minimal Electrical code knowledge • Knowledge of basic trades: roofing, carpentry, plumbing, and metal framing • In-depth knowledge of installation, maintenance, and repairs of various roofing components • Ability to read and understand blueprints, wiring schematics, and electrical instructions • Ability to make field changes and communicate with Project Manager • Ability to communicate problems to Crew leads/roof leads Duties & Responsibilities • Installation of roof attachment hardware • Installation of Electrical equipment, wiring, and devices required to install residential solar PV Systems • Troubleshoot PV systems, repair and resolve electrical issues related • Occasional bending and installing conduit, pulling & terminating wire, cable, equipment, panels, and various control components and devices. • Tie in solar equipment in rooftop junction boxes • Follow a safety program and attend safety meetings • Ability to communicate problems to Project Manager, Crew lead, and Roof lead • Ensure a quality installation experience for the customer • Ensure all projects pass jurisdiction requirements. • Maintain high levels of quality assurance and quality control with an emphasis on safety • Ensure proper job documentation is completed at the completion of each job About Sunergy Solar LLC: We are Sunergy Solar, and since 2005 we've been empowering Floridians with customizable, sustainable solar energy systems.
