Description
So let me get this straight, if my possessions are not chained up in my driveway, you assume that they are up for grabs?
You stole my 4 air conditioners from the corner of 17th Ave. S. and 31st Street E. I was on my patio when you did it. I thought I heard you but the noise was faint - I thought it was a stray cat. Then twenty minutes later, I heard you packing your load so you could get your rear hatch door closed. I peaked over the fence and saw you. I forgot to put on my glasses. I was actually thinking you were picking up the three chairs that my neighbor across the alley put out. Had I come out to my driveway then, I would have noticed my air conditioners gone. Then I had to put out my recycling and noticed all the water on my driveway. Then I noticed my 4 air conditioners gone. Well pal, I'm a man with health issue that makes it hard for me to have a full time job. I find used air conditioners often in the alley next to the trash bin. I open them up and clean them and sometimes I recharge them.
3 of the air conditioners worked and 1 needed the fins straightened out. I assumed nobody would steal these during the day and at night I'm around most of the time in my garage, driveway or patio working on stuff.
I was getting ready to load these up and put in storage until next season. You basically stole about $275 from me.
So many of you metal scrappers will cross the line of what you think is free and what you think is on "public property"
Now we have the camera up and running. Next time, me and my neighbor will hold you on the ground until the cops arrive.
