We Are Seeking Ferments. Seeking to create the perfect Culture (pun intended) with the help of energetic, passionate, and proactive people and a love of fermented goods. We need the right folks to make our Seeking Ferments Culture happy and full of good bacteria…lol. We are a LGBTQ, minority, women, family-owned business. And are looking for farmers market staff to help work the different farmer's markets throughout the city! Great position for students, or for anyone who loves being outside! Job Type: Seasonal Part Time Contract w/potential to be Part-Time (Year-Round) with Benefits Duration: Year-Round This is for a Saturday and Sunday market shift. Sunday 10am-4pm or 9am-3pm Rate: $22 an hour with tips( ~$22-$28 average w/tips) (base of $16) ; plus $25 worth of Booch trades at the markets (You can trade with other market vendors for fresh veggies (groceries for the week), or anything else they might have!), mileage reimbursement and the perks of a flexible schedule, Employee Discounts! Oh Employee Discount and sweet Booch merch! 💛 Potential Available days thru Tuesday- Sunday: (depends on which markets working): Tues-Friday 2pm-8pm; Saturday 10am-4pm; Sunday 10am-4pm Must have a car and valid driver's license. Our Market Staff is responsible for the following duties, including: ● Process payment from customers using their phone to be able to connect to square ● Maintain a clean environment ● Make suggestions based on customer tastes and preferences ● Packing the products; supplies needed prior to/from market location ● Vendor setup/breakdown, including setting up tent, table, banner signage, setting packing up unsold products, ect, ● Be able to lift more than 30-80lbs properly ● Set up; fill hand wash station; store supplies properly ● Calculate Market fee at end of the market based on sales ● Build a rapport with regular customers, vendors & market staff to create a positive atmosphere ● Be able to manage booth by yourself ● Farmers Market experience preferred but not required Qualifications: -Must have valid driver's license and vehicle -Work requires travel; ability to transport supplies; inventory -Food handlers card preferred.
