Seeking Live-in Nanny-house/Housekeeper

Seeking an experienced live-in childcare with additional duties of lighthouse keeping and errand running. Your residence would be a new 2 bedroom guest house to yourself on waterfront property in north Bainbridge Island, with kayaks, paddleboards and hiking rails within a few blocks. Our children are two girls, age 12 and 9. They are very self-reliant and require minimal oversight. Duties would include: 1. Assisting in shuttling kids to/from school and after school activities on some weekdays. Playing games with the kids or exercising with them, etc. 2. During school days, minimal housekeeping duties (some laundry, dishes, light cleaning). Likely 1 hour/day. 3. Covering kids on occasional overnight date nights, usually weekend nights once a month. Potential covering kids for the parents weekend trip away. 4. The kid's father is due for a knee surgery in Dec, and may need assistance in driving to PT appointments after the surgery (10 minutes away). 5. We have a new puppy, so must be comfortable with a non-shedding hypoallergenic small dog. Some dog walking duties (in our yard) would be helpful. 6. Should average 30-40 hrs/week, with the potential of some weeks being less or more hours. Due to schedule variability, it would not be possible to also hold another job unless its a free-form schedule, virtual, and only a few hours per week. To be determined: Use one of our cars vs yours. Option of eating dinner with family vs on your own, at your discretion. Same for day trips, holidays, etc. Term: Flexible start sometime between now and Oct 15th, for 4 months - with the possibility of extending if both parties desire. The ideal candidate: 1. Demonstrated childcare experience, with strong recommendations 2. Clean driving and criminal record. A complete background check and screening will be required. 3. Ideally, the candidate would have an interest in tutoring the kids in the candidates hobbies (athletics, music, art, etc). 4. Must be able to lift 20 lbs and do light physical duty.
